Jason Dodson

Jason Dodson serves as Chief of Staff to Summit County Executive Ilene Shapiro. Dodson previously served as Chief of Staff for Summit County Executive Russ Pry. Dodson has been involved in the negotiation and development of several economic development projects, including the Goodyear Headquarters, the Bridgestone Tech Center and the Austen BioInnovation Institute in Akron Headquarters, “all of which will improve our county and create jobs for years to come,” said Dodson, a 2004 graduate of The University of Akron School of Law.

Since 2008, as chief of staff, Dodson oversees the day-to-day operations of the executive’s office, serves as the liaison to the Summit County Council and participates in the development and execution of the policies of the executive’s office.

Dodson is also a member of and financially assists local non-profit organizations, including being president of the Port-Summit Rotary Club from 2008-2010. Dodson is active in supporting and working with the Summit County Democratic Party and local Democratic candidates.
