Impact Ohio will hold the Dayton Regional Conference on Friday, October 22, from 8:00 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at The University of Dayton, Daniel J. Curran Place in The Meyer Room.
At the Dayton Regional Conference, panelists will explore three different public policy areas and guest speakers will offer remarks. Policy panels include: Redistricting: What it Means for Ohio and the Dayton Region A panel of experts will discuss the importance of Ohio’s redistricting process. Panelists will focus on how the process is progressing and what it means for Ohio’s legislative and congressional districts as well as the Dayton region. The Continuum of Workforce and Talent Policy Even before the pandemic, there were discussions about redefining workforces and workplaces. In this panel, experts will discuss how our workforce is evolving and the role that education and training plays to ensure an excelling workforce. Exploring the Impact of the American Rescue Plan Act The American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA) was signed into law earlier this year to help with recovery from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. In this session, panelists will discuss ARPA and how it can make an impact in the region in both the short and long term. Speakers Include:
