Brenda Linert
Brenda Linert is the editor of the Tribune Chronicle. Linert has been a journalist for the Tribune for nearly 20 years, most recently she served in the position of Business Editor. Prior to her taking that post two years ago, she was Metro Editor, directing a reporting staff to produce the daily news report for the newspaper and its website, tribtoday.com.
She joined the newsroom full time in 1995 after having worked as a part-time reporter and stringer. Throughout the years, Linert has won multiple Associated Press statewide awards, including first place awards in investigative reporting, enterprise reporting and business reporting. She has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown and is pursuing her master’s degree at Kent State University. She resides in Austintown with her husband, Ross, and their two sons, Anthony and Ross.
