Dr. Kathleen Cleary

Dr. Cleary came to Sinclair in 2003 and has served as Chair of the Theatre and Dance Department, Dean of the Liberal Arts and Social Sciences Division, Associate Provost and now, Senior Vice President. She spent 18 months as an Executive on Loan to the Ohio Department of Higher Education, where she worked with the Chancellor’s team to lead Strong Start to Finish, a consortium of 35 universities and community colleges.

Kathleen holds a BA in English from the Franciscan University of Steubenville, a master’s degree in acting and directing from SUNY-Binghamton and a Ph.D. in theatre history, literature and criticism from The Ohio State University. Kathleen also completed the Harvard University Graduate School of Education’s Management and Leadership in Education Institute, which was focused heavily on change management.
