Robert Gessner
Robert Gessner is Chairman of the Stark Economic Development Board and Business Growth Chair for the Strengthening Stark Government Committee. Bob retired as President of MCTV (formerly known as Massillon Cable TV) in April of 2019, having served in that role starting in 2002.
MCTV is a family-owned company serving more than 50,000 customers in ten Ohio counties with Internet, TV, Phone and home security services.
Bob’s parents, Richard and Susan Gessner founded Massillon Cable TV in 1965. Bob earned a Bachelors of Business Administration from the College of William & Mary in Virginia in 1976. He began his cable career in 1979 when he returned to his hometown to be Massillon Cable TV’s Marketing Manager; launching HBO and instituting the company’s first computer customer billing system.
