Samantha Sommer

Samantha Sommer is Managing Editor for Investigations at the Dayton Daily News.  In 2018, she became a part of the Path Forward project at Dayton Daily News which digs into the most pressing issues facing the Miami Valley.  The Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce named Samantha as part of their 2020 Leadership Dayton Class.  Class members are chosen from a cross-section of the community and represent the diversity of the region’s business leaders

Prior to her current position, she was the Springfield News-Sun editor.  As editor, she oversaw a highly integrated newsroom that included All-Media Journalists who are reported for both television and newspaper brands.
