A Look Into The DeWine Administration

Mike DeWine has entered his new role as Ohio’s 70th Governor with plans to improve the lives of all Ohioans. To do this, he has selected leaders, experts, and public servants from across the state to help him deliver his vision.

Jon Husted will serve as Lt. Governor and oversee InnovateOhio, a new program designed to facilitate economic development by implementing new technology that makes state government more efficient.

Governor DeWine’s cabinet nominees include:

  • Mary Mertz—Director of the Department of Natural Resources
  • Thomas Stickrath—Director of the Department of Public Safety
  • Kimberly Murnieks—Director of the Office of Budget and Management
  • Sheryl Creed Maxfield—Director of the  Department of Commerce
  • Lydia Mihalik—Director of the Development Services Agency
  • Matthew Damschroder—Director of the Department of Administrative Services
  • Jeff McClain—Commissioner of the Department of Taxation
  • Annette Chambers-Smith—Director of the Department of Rehabilitation and Correction
  • Kevin Miller—Executive Director of Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities
  • Ursel McElroy—Director of the Department of Aging
  • Jeffrey Davis—Director of the Department of Developmental Disabilities
  • Dorothy Pelanda—Director of the Department of Agriculture
  • Randy Gardner—Chancellor of the Department of Higher Education
  • Jillian Froment—Director of the Department of Insurance
  • Kimberly Hall—Director of the Department of Job and Family Services
  • Lori Criss—Director of the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services
  • Maureen Corcoran—Director of the Department of Medicaid
