A Recap of the Toledo 2021 Regional Conference

Impact Ohio returned to Toledo on Friday, September 17 for the 2021 Toledo Regional Conference.

The conference began with a conversation between the top two vote-getters from the Toledo mayoral primary, Mayor Wade Kapszukiewicz, and Former Mayor Carty Finkbeiner, which was followed by an analysis of Ohio’s financial standing and economy by Treasurer of State Robert Sprague.

Secretary of State Frank LaRose discussed the safety and security of Ohio’s elections and the steps his office is taking to ensure more Ohioans are voting and trusting the election results. In the next session, panelists discussed H2Ohio and the comprehensive plan being implemented to improve Ohio’s water quality.

Lastly, past and present legislators and an Ohio political reporter analyzed the ongoing redistricting process for Ohio’s state legislative districts and gave predictions on the upcoming congressional redistricting process.
